About

R. SEBASTIAN BENNETT was born in New York City and grew up in Southern California.  He attended Columbia University (BA), The University of Southern Califonia (MA), and The University of Louisiana (Ph.D.) where he was awarded a Doctoral Regents Fellowship.  

Bennett worked as an Advertising Representative  in  Tokyo  in  the  1980’s.  In  the  1990’s,  he founded the literary journal, THE SOUTHERN ANTHOLOGY,  and taught Fiction Writing at U.C.L.A., the University of Louisiana, and Muskingum University, where he directed the Creative Writing Program. 

Bennett’s Writing is published worldwide, in magazines and journals including Columbia Journal, Fiction International, Los Angeles Review, New Orleans Review, New Stories from the South, Texas Review, Wisconsin Review,  Paris Transcontinental- Sorbonne (FRANCE),  Equus (Prague/UK), and  Alécart (ROMANIA).
